If you picked a first choice school in semifinalist-to-finalist application (the yellow sheet with essays and stuff for finalist standing) do you have to report the school again with the card thing? or do you not have to report again if i don't want to change the school?

Hemorrhoid…it hurts just typing that…If I remember correctly (and that’s a big stretch) I think D1’s Finalist letter listed her first choice university that she had on file. Did you get your “home” copy of your finalist letter?

The Finalist letter that NMSC sent to your home, should have your first choice university on the bottom of your letter. It is the school that you selected and it is on the NMSC’s record. Check your letter again.

Yes i got the finalist letter and it had the right college on it, i just wasn’t sure and getting paranoid now because i lost the letter. thank you all!

I may not be reading your question correctly. The yellow change card is to send in once you know where you will be attending. Send it in right away once you know where you will enroll (by April 27 deadline with confirmation when you mail it). The application had a place to put down the first choice college, but mainly because they send out that huge mailing of letters to your first choice school on Mar. 1 (helps to see that along with your mid-years). Do not send in the yellow card until you know where you are heading --you can only change it once. If you happen to get into your #1 choice, then YES, the same school would be written twice --I hope that’s the case for you!! Good luck! :)

Yes, you can use your “yellow card” to report your first choice of college ( if you have your first choice college as UNDECIDED status on your semifinalist application) OR you can use the yellow card to change your first choice of college to a different one if you change your mind.

If you already reported your first choice of college to NMSC and decide to attend that college then you do not have to do anything, unless you want to go to a different college.
