Hi, I'm new to college confidential (first post, actually), and I just had a quick question regarding minors. I am a HS junior in Georgia, and my HS (Savannah Arts Academy) has a really strong theatre program, both performing-wise and tech/design-wise. I am an aspiring actor, and I plan to earn a B.F.A. in theatre after graduating. However, at my school, I do a LOT of not only acting, but technical theatre work as well (mainly designing lights and building sets). I would hate to have to give up tech altogether, and if my acting career doesn't work out, I would love to work designing or running lights for a professional theatre company. This is where my question comes in: Is it possible to major in Theatre/Performing Arts and minor in Theatre Production/Design?

If it helps, here's a short list of schools I am currently considering:

NYU (Tisch)
Oberlin College
Carnegie Mellon
SCAD
Carleton College
FSU
NYCDA
