<p>the AMC people want as many students as possible to take the exam. I wouldn't think your school would restrict them to math team members, but you'll want to let the test administrator (possibly the teacher who is in charge of the math team) know you're interested early in the year so they have an accurate head count when they order exams, and so that you get any announcements about it.</p>
