A quick question about the community essay

I have a pretty finalized copy of my community essay right now, but I then I wondered about the meaning of the word "community"... right now I have written about a tight musical group (a drumline) that I am apart of (30+ members) and how that community has changed me and shaped who I am.

Would this drumline community really be considered a "community" in all true senses of the word?

Also as a side note... should the essay be singlespaced...double..? Which is preferred?

The way you interpret the meaning of community is not going to be the main point of your essay when the Admissions Committee reviews it. Based on what you mentioned, yes your essay fits with what we meant by the word “community” when writing the essay prompt. Don’t overthink it!

No preference as far as spacing … just make sure it is legible.

Thank you!

Hi, is it alright if I write about my high school community?
