<p>So, yesterday I learned that I had finally been shortlisted (together with other five students in my city) to take part in the National Contest. But the thing is the contest will take place in Feb next year. But I'm filling the commomapp (more to the point, the awards section) and I want to mention this. So what's the proper term to describe my situation (I mean the official term used in the US. Is it semi-finalist or the like ? I'm an international student)</p>
