A quick question regarding communications schools for a transfer student...

Alright so I just have a question regarding Communications schools. Well right now I'm a freshman student at UTA (Arlington) and I'm going to be transferring next year. As of now, I have an automatic transfer to UT Austin, and I really wouldn't mind going there, but I decided to apply to a few other schools as a transfer student just to keep my options open. I got a 4.0 my first semester and have an OK high school record (1280 (1950) SAT, 3.7 unweighted GPA) so I think I might have atleast decent shot at the schools I'm applying to: UNC CH, Boston University, Syracuse, Emerson College. My question is, theoretically, and again, I say theoretically, if I got into all of these schools for Communications, would it be worth paying the extra money in out of state tuition to attend one of them over UT Austin. How do the Communications programs at the schools I'm applying to measure up to the one at UT Austin? I know it's premature to ask about this, but I was hoping to get some perspective. Thanks.
