a quick question

our school only averages grades that are considered academic classes. Yet, in our school, senior could decide whether to take science or not, making it an elective. I decided to take Ap Physics and now i am getting a near C-. I know i know, it is a bad score, but are electives conisdered academic classes even if it is science?

Im just a lil scared that the score will ruin my GPA for 1st semester

bumpppppppp

It probably depends on your school, but I think at my school once you have fulfilled your graduation requirements for a particular area (sciance, math, english, or social studies), any extra courses in those areas are electives. Does this help?

This definitely is specific to your school, so anyone on this board could only speculate.

That said, I would think an extra science still counts as an "academic" course. By "non-academic," I think they mean gym, teacher aide, etc. It seems silly to not count a grade in a cor academic subject just because you don't need that class to graduate.

Anyway, ask your counselor.
