A Ranking of Colleges With the Happiest Students

"The lists are only useful for broad brush characterizations. For example, if a school ends up as a top-10 party school, you can safely assume there are a lot of drunks, but you can't assume that the percentage of drunks would be literally in the top-10."

This is exactly right.

“"Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.'”

Explains ND, HC and Fordham not making the list

Perhaps they should rank schools as happy places for those who have a trust and happy places for those who do not have a trust.

I wonder how it correlates with percentage of students attending for whom this college was their first choice?

I believe the list is far more accurate than is given credit. Super elite schools do not necessarily have happy students just because the students were thrilled to have gotten in. Harvard's recent survey of its own student population bears this out. The results were quite contrary to many of the posts here hinting that students at such schools would be happy just to be there.

Happy student now, big debt later. he, he

Unless of course you attend Princeton where students receive grants to meet their financial need, not loans. The trick of course is to get in!

ND should be on the list. Don't agree? Fight me, I'm Irish!

Putsch, I am sure ND was #21
