A Real/Imagined Conversation with AOM

Last night I lay sleeping in bed, my mind lost in itself, when a strange thing happened
there appeared to me what seemed to be a specter, and I recognized it, but couldn't place who it was. I reached out to it instinctively, and it imbued me with the knowledge I sought:

"Who art thou?" quoth I in a stupor
"Thou know'st me verily and well, but thou didst not until now know that I was with thee myself acquainted" - replied the phantasm
Seeing me confused, it must have been, he clarified " 'Tis I, ArtOfMind_21, whom thou hast for many months considered as they father and idol as had Arthur his"
In piety I graciously bowed for such kind fortune
"Of many things I must tell thee, that High School Life can to its lofty heights return:
Thou shalt many threads start - be not content to comment on that which others hath begun or simply bring back my actions, now finished and never to be continued. Trust thyself to insightful threads begin and fear not shame of failure.
Thou shouldst 'to thine own self be true', act not so as to appear more knowledgeable than thou art. Indeed be not afraid to incorporate that which you enjoy into conversation, as I did so many times.
Lastly, fear not in any endeavor.
Take my advice, my once apprentice, and thou shalt go far. Soon you will yourself be a master, and may - and do not doubt that this is possible - achieve the levels of those on thy top 20 list which thou hast made in no hopes of mounting."
Thus I, in greatest humility, "thank you my lord, for you are the inspiration of my presence on CC, and are as my very soul in typing."
"Post Well" said the spirit, as he disappeared into the ethereal light from which he had come.

Maple, you are obsessive:/

^That. I am laughing irl lol.

Are you perhaps, a gay?

Maple, I read the name of the thread and decided to tell you that you have outdone yourself.lol!

AOM is as myself - he is as inseparable from my very being as the breath of life itself (so far as CC posting is concerned)

^^funny story: William Blake wrote this epic called “Milton: A Poem” (Milton is one of my RL idols) in which, according to Wikipedia, because I have not read much by Blake (my knowledge of who he is stems from his engravings), Milton enters into Blake’s foot, onto which he puts a magical sandal that allows him to live as Milton. That is what this dream was like

I have a nasty feeling that you are AOM.

I was considering that possibility.

hahaha I wish. Sadly I am not :/

It would be warm and fuzzy rather than nasty lol

This is kinda creepy, unless like leafblade said you’re your own self-publicist.

By “nasty” I meant nagging and refusing to leave, lol. You’re not very convincing.

lol I guess. Good thing the internet isn’t real lol

What made you idolize him?

Maple, we just got through all the conspiracy theories of why you were LATE yesterday. Now we have to make conspiracy theories about siltum.

^AOM has a pretty cool name though, IMO.

I just looked the guy up. He redefines “prolific poster”. 800+ posts in a month?!?!

Unless maple made a fake facebook or AOM was lying about who he was, they’re not the same.

I know (or he would have been called on it before) but I like secrets/conspiracy theories.

No no, Maple-who-I-used-to-think-was-a-girl, I think you are absolutely brilliant. But prithee, do show me some extraordinary posts of this…AOM person. I keep hearing about this reputed legend of CC, and yet I have never seen any substantial awesomeness from him. I actually find your heartwrenching compositions to be far more amazing. Do forgive my ignorance. :)

thank you TCBH haha

lulz I posted long before I knew who AOM was.

EDIT: ^It’s mostly the sheer volume of his posts

lol I once theorized that DataBox exposed himself as a multi that one day.

I read some of his (many) posts and didn’t find them that funny. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place? Dimitri Martin was more funny.
