<p>So I was in my school counselor's office today and she told me that Vassar called to ask if I am still applying to the school because they had received some of my material and they are ready to make a decisions and they want to know if i am applying. BUT, I have not yet turned in my application AND I am not applying either early decision. I called up the admissions office but I just got yelled at and was told that my counselor was wrong. All the school should have is my transcripts and recommendations. I don't know what is going on, anyone want to help?</p>
<p>Maybe you turned it in too early? I dunno. At my school, transcripts and recommendations were sent around December, as opposed to October. Definitely don't worry about the person yelling at you. Vassar obviously made a mistake by assuming that you were applying ED because you turned in your transcripts and recommendations-- two essential kinds of documents--early. Just to be safe, I would call Vassar sometime this week or in the next couple of weeks and verify that they have received your documents. If they have, DO emphasize that you're applying RD, and ask them to hold the documents. Just as an extra safety measure, I would have those two documents sent in again. Good luck applying RD! I was accepted, and I loved Vassar (but I ended up loving Wesleyan just a little bit more).</p>
<p>Yup, I agree with showtunesguy89. The fact that your high school sent in your transcript (in particular) probably made the admissions office here at Vassar think that you were planning on applying ED but hadn't gotten in your application yet or something. </p>
<p>And you'll probably need to have it resent for RD. After all, you need to have your first semester grades on it. Best of luck!</p>
<p>yeah they told me that they though I was applying ED I. which i don't really understand becuase my stuff was sent after nov. 1 and it says "Regular Decision" on it. They told me not to resend anything they would just hold it. I hope it doesn't affect my chances because i LOVE vassar! woo</p>
