Okay so I am planning to study in Canada or the UK but the prices for international students are high when it comes to engineering or medical fields. Or at least in those universities I checked.
So for those of you with previous experience, does anyone know of a good university with a reasonable price? I will hopefully check all the names you post here.
I have a 2100 SAT score.
A 750 SAT 2 Math score.
A 700 SAT 2 Biology score.
A 3.75 - 3.8 ranging GPA.
Currently preparing for the TOEFL.
Have tons of extracurricular activities.
VP of NHS.

McGill and University of British Columbia are both great colleges with reasonable prices and good scholarship possibilities!
I don’t know about British universities but I would say the education system is better as a whole in N. America.

I can assure you that the British system is just as good in many cases. It is different; it encourages maturity and independence as well as a strong focus on the major rather than a broad foundation. However I would not call it worse because of that.

Can you post a price limit? Not all schools in Canada cost the same.
Also are you from the US, or another country? Do you have a preferred setting (urban, rural)
Also where do you plan to work as an adult?

Thanks, i’ll check those in a moment.
I prefer the UK for many reasons other than the university itself

Exactly my point

Some schools on this list are miles better than others, but information on the better Canadian schools is easily available online.

Quick plug for Mount Allison, my best friend’s step sister went there and loved the school. From what I’ve read about it, it’s somewhat like the Canadian version of a LAC. My best friend’s father, also my former boss, graduated from U Waterloo and went on to get a fully funded phD from Cal Tech. If you’re interested in the “harder” STEM fields (eg physics, engineering, CS), Waterloo is an outstanding choice.

Hey, I went to Queen’s University in Ontario which was pretty reasonably priced for the quality of education you get.

I also went on to do a degree at a UK university. I found [S4S Abroad | Students For Students Canadians studying in the UK - S4S Abroad | Students For Students](http://www.s4sabroad.com) helpful for that. They have a lot of first-hand knowledge of all the UK universities. They are basically a free advice service for Canadians trying to study in the UK. They helped me out so perhaps it is worth a look.
