I am an incoming freshman at UCSB next year, however I was accepted to Berkeley. I thought UCSB was the perfect fit for me, but after spending more time at both campuses, I now know that I would prosper intellectually so much more at Berkeley. Does anyone know if there is any way for me to attend Berkeley this upcoming year? I have contacted the Re-Admission officers and am waiting back for a response from them. But has anyone experienced or heard of a similar situation? Thanks for your time.

I was going to suggest exactly what you did…if they don’t call back…KEEP CALLING, or else just go there and talk to them. I hope it works.

The only problem I can see is maybe housing?

Good luck!

if you reaaaaallly wanna go to berkeley, and this plan doesn’t pan out, I’d say, go to CC for two years, and then transfer to Berkeley. if you were admitted as a freshmen, I think you could easily do a CC transfer since it shows that you’re academically up to par. I hope there’s a chance for you to come to Berkeley next year, but there’s always the CC option. good luck.

oh thats sad, let us know how it turns out. Hopefully they will let you back in. I have lots of friends at UCSB and they love it so make the best out of the outcome.
