You should be aware that Dartmouth recently changed their policy and is now need-aware for internationals.

@OHMomof2 My stats are as follows:
• 7 A* and 6 A grades at GCSE. I had the toughest workload in my school. Only 35 % of the students passed the exams i.e. Got A-C grades

• In A levels I got 3 A and 2 B. Toughest workload.

• 32 on ACT ( 33 English and reading 34 math and 29 science).

Good ECs

Want full aid. Where should I apply ED. Am I competitive enough for Amherst.

Given that every international student who needs financial aid will be applying to those 5 US colleges that are need-blind AND give 100% of demonstrated need to international students, it will be extremely difficult to gain acceptance.

So, you should apply EA to one of them, and then apply RD to the other four. I don’t know if your stats are completive enough for Amherst, but there’s only one way to find out. Apply EA and hope for the best. Best of luck to you!

Your grades and scores are in line with Amherst’s students but admission is very competitive, especially coming from outside the US. ED makes sense only if you don’t want to apply ED anywhere else.
