A&S history

just wondering how good the history program is at Cornell. I really want to be a history major and really like the school, but if it is a kind of lame program I would like to know now. thanks

btw: looking more for a concentration on European History

In terms of ranking among other top schools, there’s really nothing to go by other than grad rankings (we’re 12 on them - [Rankings - History - Graduate Schools - Education - US News](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-history-schools/rankings)). It’s not Cornell’s best program by any means (the sciences, engineering, hotel/architecture, etc), but there are a couple of very famous and great professors. I’m a history major and currently enjoying it. I took a class this semester on Greek History with the ex-President of Cornell, who was pretty awesome. You’ll be intellectually stimulated, trust me.
