I can’t believe you used that and then questioned MY intelligence. Let’s see where you went wrong:</p>

<p>To give you some idea of where I’m coming from:
I am an American citizen currently living abroad in small-town Egypt on a yearlong cultural exchange program for young adults; my entire primary education was conducted in Spanish at an international elementary school; and my mother is from a 2nd generation Russian immigrant family. In short, I know my stuff when it comes to multiculturalism, language barriers, and international education.</p>
<p>When T26E4 said “Poster has a long history on CC – not some innocently naive international applicant,” he was by no means implying that all internationals are inherently naive, or that they are unintelligent people. He was just alluding to the fact that SOME internationals (from non English-speaking countries), who’ve posted on this forum in the past, have had a history of inadvertantly saying politically-incorrect things. He was not – as you inexplicably infer – launching a personal assault against your intellectual merits. </p>

I wanted to state that the original poster intentionally posted something inflammatory – and it was not an innocent post by an international unfamiliar with the racial context of the USA. It’s not my commentary on the education of people around the globe.</p>
