A serious Question!!

hey dudes, I just wanted to know are adcoms of the top liberal art colleges like Amherst, Middlebury, Bowdoin aware of the importance of medals in International Science Olympiad.
I am planning to apply to few of these top liberal art college ,and want to major in Physics.
Actually, I've won a silver medal in International Physics Olympiad. So, will this medal boost up my chances in these Liberal Art College? My sat subject test scores are 800 Physics 800 Maths Lvl 2 and 790 Chemistry.

I’m just looking for Bowdoin and Middlebury at the moment and my GPA is 3.6/4(unweighted) and I’m in top 10% of the graduating class.

Bump…what the hell is this? 106 views and no single comment.

wow ipho? that’s very impressive. Very impressive. To adcoms as well.

but I don’t have that impressive ACT scores.

That will give you a big boost in admissions. If you want to look at Ivies, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, etc., that will help a lot there too.

about my main question guys…are adcoms of top liberal art colleges aware of the value of a medal in International Science Olympiad?

Bump/-/-/-/

I answered your main question so why did you ask it again? Of course they are aware, International Olmypiad medalist is definitely a hook that is more than qualified for not only those but also for even more selective schools.

That’s a very very big deal… few people who haven’t heard of it I would argue. Your test scores are still important though :)
