A shot at A&M?

<p>Well, this will be my first post:</p>

<p>I, along with many other people, am wondering what my chances are at getting into TAMU.. Your opinions/comments would be helpful.</p>

School: Public
Class rank: 161
Class size: 909
Percentage: Top 25%
GPA: 3.91
SAT: Reading: 520, Math: 550, Writing: 520 (Yes I know, they're horrible.)
ACT: 25
Senior Schedule:
-AP Calculus AB
-AP Computer Science
-AP Biology
-Health
-AP Economics
-English 4
-AP Government
-Speech
Ethnicity: Asian
Clubs: 7
Sport: Tennis for 3 years
Volunteer Work: At a hospital during the summer for 70+ hours.
Letter of Recommendations: 2</p>

<p>What major are you trying to get? First and second choice.</p>

<p>Argh, I can't believe I forgot to mention that.</p>

<p>Well, for the application I put down my first choice major as Biology and my second choice Biomedical Engineering. </p>

<p>I think if you wrote some good essays, did everything required and recommended (you got 2 letters, that's good), you will have a good shot at Biology. The SAT and ACT scores are a bit below average for students at A&M, but I think you make up for it in other aspects like course load, GPA, class rank. Good luck and Gig'em, Zach.</p>

<p>Thanks for the reassurance. As for the essays, I think I managed to write 3 wicked ones.</p>
