My teacher recommendations should be really good.

I have a scientific internship at the National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick throughout this summer and throughout my senior year, so I have a lot of research experience and hands-on experience (PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA extractions, DNA sequencing, microscopy, etc). My current project is finishing up this September, where I am helping to determine primate phylogeny to help solve a few long standing issues over various primate ancestral relationships.

Right now I'm kind of in between Johns Hopkins, UPenn, and WashU in St. Louis for undergrad (majoring in biology, premed track). UPenn is probably the biggest reach among these schools for ED, or at least that's what I've been told thus far.

Do I have a chance?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

Your chance at Penn is good. Its easier to get into Hopkins and WashU so if you like Penn best, you should apply ED there to maximize your chances. Your chances early are twice that they are if you apply RD. If you are close, this can make the difference for you.
