A slacker's chances.. please!

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.41 UW
SAT: 600r 610m
ECs: Editor-in-chief of school paper, bass in school bands/plays, school-community volunteer through LEO Club, volunteer in the Philadelphia Linux Users' Group, work as a veterinary tech/secretary at a cat office.</p>

<p>Honors: National honor society, national foreign language honor society.</p>

<p>Caucasian male living in Pennsylvania.</p>

<p>Strong essays, fairly original (one's about me saving my cat in a recent house fire, another, my experience in meeting and jamming with a black trumpeter)</p>

<p>Two APs, all other classes honors. No fillers. Strong senior grades.</p>

<p>I had a D+ final grade in a combination honors english/ap american history class last year. In the additional info area for each school I explained the (unfair) grading system. </p>

<p>UW is my top school, albeit I have my feelings of denial. I put a long time into the application. Here's where I've applied to:</p>

<p>University of Washington (Goal school)
Seattle University (Second goal if I'm denied to UW)
Drexel University (Pricey for the facility quality... but hopefully admitted)
St. Joe's University (Why did I even apply?)
Temple University (safety I guess)</p>

<p>Reccomendations were well-chosen and should have been OK... I'm not allowed to look. I'm also ranked 24 out of 500, but UW won't know that.</p>

<p>You look okay to me! I expected your stats to be horrendous from your post title. Just calm down, reflect things over and don't put yourself down so much. Sorry I did not really give you straightfoward advice.</p>

<p>thank both of you.. I'm still a little nervous about UW, but I put my best foot forward. I'll probably go to Seattle U. if I'm in and they have a decent aid plan for me.</p>

<p>ur ranked #24/500 with that gpa? ur school must be really hard, but ur SAT doesn't show that. so i think, all those school are safety except washington (reachhhh)</p>
