also, i'll mention two other things. My school only offers 4 APs (2 junior year and 2 senior year) so i'll have taken all APs possible. Also, although the ECs are sparse, the basketball and cross country both take up 20+ hours of my time in-season.

you have the same chance as you would at berkeley. I think you actually have a decent shot at both. As far as UCSD is concerned, I think your chances are very good. Well anyways....Good Luck

for out-of-state, perhaps slight reach. could be closer to a match if you were in-state. i think you should apply to all 3 anyway (it's all on one app). good luck!

wt f, how do not have a shot at UC berkeley and ask if u have a shot at LA. They have almost exact stats across the boards(SAT, GPA) except UCLA admittance rate is 23% while berkeley is 24.7%, also ucla has a lower ELC acceptance rate. i am offended, not really but still :]

Well, according to collegeboard.com, berkeley's SAT range at 75% (1450) is slightly higher than UCLA's (1410). But you guys are right, their's not much of a difference in acceptance rates. That being said, what do you think of my chances at both those schools from out of state?

i think if u continue getting that junior GPA, then yes there is a good chance. also bump up SAT 1 math if possible, tho the other two scores are very good.

also since u said u dedicated a lot of years into ur ECs, perhaps u could write about one experience in the UC essay.
