Well, I'm very interested in pursuing a double major in Biomedical or Chemical Engineering and English. I also want to be on the Pre-med track. I would LOVE to attend Stanford, Columbia or Duke.

What are my chances of being accepted? In what areas should I improve?

I am a first-generation immigrant from Ethiopia. I was enrolled in a magnet program for English, history and the arts freshman year, but moved and now attend another high school.
GPA: high 3.8, WGPA: about 4.42, retaking SAT's but currently have a 2110 [CR:730, M:670, W:710], have yet to take SAT II's but will take Literature, Physics and Math II [anticipate 750+ each] in October, received qualifying letter for National Merit, but will likely be commended.
I will graduate with six AP's, AP Physics C independent study, and six IB's, three of which are HL's, as an AP Scholar with Distinction and likely 6/7's on the IB HL exams [English, European History, Biology].

For class rank I'm somewhere in the top 5% out of 350+.

Sophmore - AP US Gov & AP English Language
Junior - AP Environmental
Senior - AP Calc BC, AP Chemistry, & AP Computer Science AB
[Will also take exams in AP Lit and AP Physics C - self-study both]

I've been involved in the SGA executive board [organized school/community Canned Food/Childrens' Book Drive - very successful], National Honor Society, a Teen Advisory Group [President for two years] for the Washington County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition, two years as a certified HIV/AIDS Peer Educator, received County and State awards, and I have traveled to South Africa for several weeks during two consecutive summers and NYC, HOBY ambassador, attended Anthony Robbins Foundation summer leadership program in London on scholarship, total of 300+ community service hours, It's Academic, Ocean Bowl, and Envirothon team member, involved in theatre and amassing a writing portfolio to submit for Scholastic Arts and Writing Award [an Avid Reader!]

Thank You!
