A 'strong pool' of applicants

From ConnCollege's web site:

Applications to CC are up 10 percent over last year.

A record number of students has applied for admission to CC's Class of 2011, demonstrating the College's broad appeal and rising profile

can u show me the link to that?

thanks, man

Hey I have a question. When i called about my finicial aid form, the admission officer told me to turn in the tax return for 06 in april. But the admission decision will be out around march and april. Does that mean I m accepted??? ^^

@uknowme:
Quotation from MarylandGirl in the University of Richmond Thread:

FYI- my d was admitted last fall.........we received at least one, maybe two, (I can't remember) what I call "wink" letters. The letters said something like, "you're great, we like you, bla bla and look for good news soon in your mailbox from us". So, we read that as we were in..I figured it would be pretty mean to say something like that and then get a rejection letter.
However, that was LAST fall, and things could be completely different this year.....................just wanted to let you know.....I'm sorry, I can't remember what month the letters came.
But, you never know with this stuff. We got two letters from William and Mary asking for more detailed information for financial aid, and we thought it meant maybe she got admitted there, but she got rejected.......go figure.
Good luck everyone.

the new president of conn sounds pretty promising in terms of increasing funding and improving the image of the school to where it should be. the last president (who was there for 4 years i think) totally backfired- the usnews ranking (which i dont really believe in but i know many live and die by it) went from 24 to 39 in 5 years. ouch!

its a fantastic school, and good luck to those who have applied! if you have any questions, let me know.

Hey bronx2 Thanks for the post. I still hope this is an indication of my acceptance^. One other thing I have noticed is after the finicial aid officer checked my file, her tone has changed to a more friendly one. So i think that means something. haha

Does Conn Coll send out their acceptances at the end of March... or the beginning of April?

their website says the letters go out on march 31st

Yeah, when I visited the college a lot of the current students were loading tons of praise on the new president compared to the other. This president goes around to all the dorm's common halls and dining rooms and tries to sit and continually ask kids about what can be done better. Accessibility is key and I think really helps - especially with a small LAC like Conn.
