A- Students

What schools are good for A- students and which are safetys for A- students. Please stay in the northeast or mid east.

It really depends on what school you go to. Where I went, A- average could put you into an Ivy pretty easily, but for other schools its quite a bit different.

I attend a private catholic school, one of the best in my borough. I live in NYC.

then you have just a good chance as getting into good schools as a valedictorian who went to a non-competitive school

A-s are still great. if you have other qualifications, you can get in anywhere anyone else can

Cool, thanks.

What kind of schools are good for kids whose GPA is 91.27%? Like, you know, some safeties, matches, and reaches (like, matches for kids who have 94.56%'s)?

That is my exact GPA, I just beat you by two decimal points ! LOL

Haha. I've heard being being divided into A students and B students, but A- students seems so specific. People on CC are neurotic, haha. I've seen posts like, "Oh my God...my GPA is a 3.8758585 and my SAT is a 2010...what does this mean for my career?!?!?!1111?"

Even though your transcript matters, so do a lot of other qualifications, like tests, ecs, and so on..

^^lol.
I'm an A, A- students. I take a gazilion AP classes though. Don't sweat it too much. A-s are good in hard classes. What they're looking for is not a lot of Bs or Cs though. Steer clear away from those.

Your so right

Yeah, because getting B's is a horrible thing to do yawn
