A tad bit late for Oberlin

Okay so I'm applying to the Oberlin conservatory for classical piano, and I already submitted my unified application and my prescreening materials before the deadline.

However, I just got an email from the admissions office saying that they acknowledged my application.

So I navigated through the email, and I clicked on the application checklist link. I'm late for submitting my ACT scores and my secondary school report!!!

I'm going to submit my ACT scores right now when my parents get home, but my printer won't work right now, so I'm going to have to fill out my secondary school report, and give it to my counselor tomorrow. Given that she will mail it out by Tuesday, it won't reach Oberlin until like Thursday.

Do you think they'll consider my application? How severely will I be penalized?

Thank you, I look forward to your responses

You know, I think most schools do not penalize you for late scores and school reports as long as they aren’t too late. Getting the Common App & Supplement in on time is most important, and other materials that come directly from you (like any audition tapes or whatever). Does your school use Naviance? If so, the school report will probably go through that to the Common App (not on paper).

Send them in & relax.

When you say school report, do you mean the report where you have to include your Social Security number?

Call the admissions office as soon as you get an chance. I think you’ll find that they are nice and will tell you not to worry.

Contact admissions as soon as possible. I think that as long as the app is in, they shouldn’t have a problem with adding the other things.
