There is a teacher at school that has an extra credit assignment that I could do to pump up my grade, If i were to do it I would get 10 points extra credit but he said that wasn’t enough to bring me up, so he said he will make an exception and make it 15 points and that would work. I was happy at this point because I’m getting the grade i want. I was about to leave but he said I should get him a gift card for being a good and kind teacher, he specifically asked for a Starbucks gift card. I honestly don’t know what to do?
I would skip the gift card at this point. Maybe when the year is over you can go around and give all of your teachers a “teacher appreciation” gift.
Buy him a $5 card and be done with it.
This just sounds really fishy. Don’t do it.
I agree with @MrElonMusk. If you are going to change someone’s grade, then it should be for your hard-work and out of his kindness. That is really sketchy to be asking for gift cards in exchange for points. If he bugs you about it, I would bring it to the administration’s attention.
Absolutely not.
Your self respect isn’t worth the credit… you can earn your grades, you don’t need to buy them.
