A tearful cry for help

This isn't a chance post, more of a should I even bother one

Basically my GPA from sophomore year is very low tad above a 3, fresh was like 3.8. The reasons are really dumb because the teachers at my school are so inefficient at grading things anyway I have a 4.0 this year and am still top 10% and class rank top 20. However I realize by the time next year rolls around my gpa average will only be like 3.6 3.7 , this is obviously a problem. I have high SAT 1 and 2 scores and AP scores and everywhere else for applicants i find myself a little bit above average compared to others. My school also grades 92-100 idk if this matters or not but if it was 90-100 then I would have a 3.8 sophomore year i ended up with alot of 91's :/ is there anything i can do?

I would not worry too much on that. I had a low 90 (i think 93 ish) average freshmen year and got a likely letter from columbia for the 2015 class. Just work on bringing up your grades and show you can do well in harder classes than what you took soph year. My junior year i picked up my grades a great deal and took multiple AP classes. Also if you are looking at science as a major you have an even better shot because Columbia is throwing tons of money and are looking to build up their science programs so they are accepted lots more people for that. Don’t give up hope you never know with these things.
