A Testament to the Diff Between SAT/ACT

I am a male senior at a small private school in Dallas, TX. I have taken the PSAT since 9th grade every year, and took the SAT in June. My scores were:

Math 660 CR 620 (Composite 1280)

I was rather disappointed about this, and several of my schools require or strongly encourage ACT scores or SAT II scores, so I decided to try my hand at the ACT:

English 35 Math 30 Reading 33 Science 33 (Composite 33)

Not only was SAT math my best score and ACT math my worst score (Weird!), but my composite score jumped a (relative) full 200 points (and I only studied for the ACT for about 2 hours over one week's time).

Let this be a testament to the difference in the tests and hopefully encouragement for those of you who didn't do so well on one of the tests!

isnt a 660 math pretty much the same as a 30 subsection math?

Well yeah but my composite score was more than 200 points higher (converted) than my SAT score...without studying!
