<p>This is a random question, I was hoping for like a sweet question. Like what came first hte chicken or the egg? Or something a bit more thought provakin.</p>
<p>Well that question is easy...obviously the egg came first because breakfast comes before lunch.</p>

<p>If the egg was a byproduct of years of evolution of birth processes in a branch of chickens, then no, the chicken was first; if the birthing process was normal and followed that of most birds then the egg was first, but in the actual process the egg and chicken are alive all at once.</p>

<p>I don't know the whole evolutionary tree, but it came from a branch of egg layers, so the egg was what came first.</p>
<p>The domestic chicken evolved from the pheasant family (which involved from theropods, which evolved from amphibians, which evolved from fish). Of course, if you want to cheat and define the egg as a female sex cell, the egg came first. :rolleyes:</p>
<p>And the fish were the first to use egg laying; thus the eggs were far before the chickens in evolutionary history. And humans were the last branch of organisms created.</p>
