A transfer with AP units has a Q on unit maximum

Hello,
I am a transfer student and recently reviewed my DPR carefully.
I have 36 AP units and 102.5 units from community colleges.

My DPR's "summary" shows :
- Summary -
Minimum units required: 180
Maximum units allowed: 252
Total UC units completed: 0.0
Total number of units in progress: 0.0
Total non-UC transferred: 138.5
Additional college excess CC ( 29.5)
Credit deductions: ( 0.0)
-----
Total Number of Units: 105.0
Overall Degree Progress GPA: 0.000

My maximum units allowed is 252, which is the regular unit limits, 216 units, plus my 36 AP units.

Does it mean I have 147 units (252-105) or 111 units (216-105) to reach the unit limit at UCLA?

This is how my OC explained it to me, since I have basically the same situation:

The 105 unit cap on your incoming credits is to help you so that you don't go over the maximum (if you need to, you can petition though). Your AP credit units are special, however, in that they are flexible. Say you're five units short of reaching the necessary amount of 180, your AP units will be tallied in. If, however, they push you over that, your AP units won't be counted (side note: your AP classes will still count to fulfill whatever requirements they fulfill, but the credits just won't be counted).

However, what I don't know is if there's a max on how many AP units can be used in this way.

Hope that helps.
