A way to appeal Princeton Desicions?

Hi Ladies and Gents,

Congrads to all who go in and will attend Princeton in the fall! I was not as fortunate as you folks though. Princeton is my top choice school, but with rejection looks like life is taking me in another direction (UCSD). Im a big believer though that where there is a will there is a way! There must be some way to appeal the desicion, some other way to apply, some other person to talk to, and/or some stunt of epic or smaller proportions that can be pulled.

Now mind you guys, UCSD is still a world class school and deserves much credit, but lets hear your ideas folks. Let me hear some options and your opinions on the situation (Should I bite the bullet and go to UCSD, make the most of that...etc.)

Much Obliged,

Hey, I can empathize, though to a lesser degree I suppose, because my whole heart was bent on Yale with Princeton being my second choice, and I was rejected by Yale. Granted Princeton is a beautiful, incredible school, its just that I have such an attachment/familiartity/and so much more staked on Yale, I can't shake it and was likewise considering attempting an appeal. Personally, however, I'm thinking that the most feasible way to get to the school for which we pine is to go to the school to which we were accepted (for you USCD, for me Princeton), work hard freshman year, and apply for a transfer. That it will be Princeton's first year to accept transfers will either work for or against you, just hope for the former. Also if you're desperate enough there's the option of taking a year off, doing a gap year program, working on application weaknesses, etc, and applying again come fall. To me, though, that option is soo out on a limb because what if you do all that and still don't get in? How horrible would that be? So I dont know, transfer sounds like the best option. Or ..waiting for grad school, perhaps. And then getting your Princeton fix during your undergrad years by applying as an RA for the summer residential program at Princeton through Junior Statemen of America which would enable you to spend your summers there, living on campus, etc. Better than nothing, I figure. I'll be doing that for Yale. Hope some of that helped. Best of luck to you.

I'm going to college for a year, most probably in UK, and apply ED princeton this fall. I hopefully will have 2200+ on the new SAT and 750+ on 2 SAT IIs + some "hooks". Im looking at going to college and applying so that if I get rejected, I can still continue. Do you know if i am allowed to apply ED as a freshman, even though im enrolled in a full time course in college?
