Is Quinnipiac having financial problems? I have read and heard things that say they do but i wanted to make sure. i couldn’t find it on google.
Hi @Peoples
Best thing I can do is point you to impartial indicators such as:
- Moody's Investor Services which rated Quinnipiac University as an A3 (as prime lending for debt servicing)
- Our endowment for FY2014 was $348,866,000 (http://chronicle.com/article/Sortable-Table-College-and/151417/)
- Financial Responsibility Composite Scores provided by the Federal Government's Department of Education. Quinnipiac is listed with a score of a "3" which is the highest for financial stability. Info can be seen here at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/about/data-center/school/composite-scores
Please let me know if you have any questions, I’m happy to help and assist as needed.

@peoples, QU presumably has a lot of resources to keep its financial problems out of the press but they do come out. Perhaps read some of the other threads on this board about layoffs and lawsuits and bulding cost expansions and neighbor troubles and then you decide. The financial aid isn’t probably all that good – google student debt QU and you’ll find that QU students graduate with among the nation’s highest debt.
