can i just say that applying to american universities is an incredibly stressful process. the amount of essays i have to write about the most strange topics… here you only write one short essay about why you want to take the course and that’s it. No fuss.
That being said, uni life in the states should be incredible!

Shameless bumb

Shameful bumb

…i mean bump. more shame.

Okay, I laughed. (It is really “bump,” as in “Bring Up My Post” or “bump my post to the top.”) (Edit: cross posted)

I agree that the number of essays applicants sometimes have to write can cause the process to be very stressful.

Are you asking whether you’ll be admitted? Nobody knows. You can get some sense of the likelihood of being admitted by checking the colleges’ websites or common data sets to determine where your scores fall in comparison with admitted students.

Are you taking SATIIs in December?

yeah I will be… pretty sure that means in a couple weeks. crosses fingers

thank you for the response, I know there threads can be incredibly agitating, esp if you’re helping out someone with pretty much no clue.

I am happy to help when I can. Also, you might get more responses if you ask specific questions.

For further information on how you compare to other applicants, check out this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1009807-acceptance-data-one-high-school.html

I think you have a good shot at NYU, northeastern, GW and even at Gtown as a legacy. For the ivies, I’d unfortunately have to call them major reaches with current scores.

Thank you, and wow that spreadsheet is very helpful, cheers.

any other word, on BU…more NYU or such
