Hi, I am a senior in high school who, up until today, was planning on attending UCF (University of Central Florida) next fall. I applied to, and was admitted, to three schools: Florida State, University of South Florida, and University of Central Florida.

I chose UCF over FSU and USF because I would have had to start in the summer at FSU which was not an option for financial reasons, and I was not impressed by USF.

Now here is my dilemma. For my last year in high school, I chose to take all of my classes at a local community college via the early admissions program, so I will be graduating high school with 24 credit hours towards my Associate of Arts degree under my belt. I now find my self with two options. One, I could attend UCF (a tier 4 school) for my freshman year, or two, I could spend an additional year at the community college, and obtain my AA degree. With my AA degree, I could then transfer to a better school - FSU, UF, or even possibly Emory, which I regret not applying to in the first place.

Wow, long post, sorry. Anyway, I know it is possible to transfer after my first year at UCF, but Florida schools almost exclusively admit transfer students with AA degrees, so I am conflicted.

Any advice? Just looking for any input, and it helps my decision making process to actually type my situation out anyway =P - Thanks
