AA from USF vs AA from CC ChemE Transfer question

Hi,

I have my associates from USF and am planning to transfer to UF in Summer 2018. I was wondering if my chances are just as good as incoming community college AA holders. I know AA applicants from CCs are basically guaranteed spots at UF but I’m not sure if the fact that I got it from a Florida university rather than CC would make me any less likely to get in.

I called uf asking the question and the guy who answered had to put me on hold to ask. He says it doesn’t matter where I got the AA from, it would still be “extremely beneficial”. I plan on calling back again asking the same question just in case he confused my question.

I am a chemical engineering Major with
3.64 overall gpa at the time of application
3.77 calc gpa at the time of applying

Projected 3.82 calc gpa by the end of spring
Projected 3.71 overall gpa by the end of spring
AA from USF

Anyway TLWR

Is there a difference in chances for AA applicants from CCs vs Universities? Consider identical stats.

I’m trying to transfer too. I heard that transfer admissions priority goes to those transferring from community colleges, any truth to that?
