<p>I was thking it'd be a little too late to be considered for any big scholarships. However, I received a package in the mail encouraging me to apply for admission at UPitt while waiving my application fee and a concurrent essay scholarship. Has anyone else ever received this? Its an African American Alumni scholarship but the deadline is april 16. At this rate, I wont find out till after May 1, so how would I be able to solidify a decision by May 1?Any ideas?</p>
<p>Call admissions and ask them. I overheard some parents talking at Pittstart and at move in that their kid(s) were at Pitt 'cause of the extra financial aid for African Americans and how nicely they were treated there. Call 'em and ask.</p>
