AACSB accreditation vs acbsp

Hey I will be attending Capital University in Ohio for accounting and economics. I was reading taxguy's accounting guide and saw that accreditation was important. Capital is a MEMBER of the AACSB but not listed under accredited schools, what does this mean? They are also a member AND accredited by ACBSP for undergrad, mba and accounting programs; is this sufficient accreditation?

My main question is will these stats still allow me to get good job interviews/internships?
Thanks for any help, if Tax guy is available i'd love to here from him.

bumping for an answer!

Being a member of AACSB just means you paid a fee. However, to become accredited by AACSB you must be a member. In other word, Capital may just be a member or in the process of trying to get AACSB.

AACSB is the better accreditation. But that does not mean you cant get a good job from a non AACSB school.

The school I work for is in the process of trying to get AACSB. We have a visitation team coming in May. The chair elect of the board of AACSB was just at our school on Friday as a consultant. Our accounting program is not actually being considered for accreditation, just our business program.

Yet we have consistently placed accounting students in internships at the top four accounting firm and our top students are consistently given offers even w\o internships. We just placed 3 interns at JPMorgan this summer. Back office jobs, but none the less very lucrative and selective internships.

So you can do well especially if you have a high gpa. So good luck to you.

thanks for the answer! gonna bump for more opinions hopefully.
