ok....i did extremely bad on an AP exam....i dont kno wat happened, i must have skipped a question on the multiple choice or something like that cuz i did ok in the class (i got a B)...and no i dont have any learning disabilities or anything like that if thats wat youre wondering, trust me....ive got 1900 on my SATs and im getting straight A's in school this year with a bunch of AP classes
so anyway...the point is....how important are AP exams for NYU
im doing the common application, so i kno i wont have to give my AP exam grade, but will NYU still ask me to send it in??
help! :(

If you mean for admissions purposes, they are irrelevant. They won't ask you for it and won't care even if you give thema good one.

Stop stressing......it will make no difference. NYU wants smart kids who can pay or who will take loans.....you are smart and apparently you are willing to pay or take a loan. Great city/great school/good luck.

fixed!

jk jk..
to answer your question, NYU will not ask for your APs unless you don't give it to them. However if you do well in APs for courses like Calculus or Physics, they may exempt you from couple of required courses so you can get more electives.

As a side note, I think your chances will increase astronomically if you can get that SAT above 2100 mark :)

whoooaaaa ABOVE a 2100?? i heard theyre only gonna count your CR and math and count the writing as an SAT II .....would a 1400 b pretty decent?

Yeah, the only time NYU would care how you did on the exam is if you scored a 4 or 5 and wanted credit for the APs. Your bigger concern would be your SAT scores. It's probably to your advantage to write them again and hope for an increase. They'll take a composite score of each. The middle 50% is generally 1300-1450 but obviously, the higher the better. Best of luck.
