ABET accreditation in 'Engineering Science' vs 'Mechanical Engineering'

@potusmalone thanks for chiming in with your experience as a student. How do you like TU so far? Do you think that the program, career services and internship opportunities are such that they give a good chance for students to be successful professionally even without pursuing a masters degree?
Do you find that internship and career prospects are mostly regional or do students have plenty of possibilities to fan out across the country?

Use of the phrase “our program” indicates perhaps a closeness to this program that precludes objective discussion. In fact, this response is extremely over-defensive if you compare it to what I actually said. I didn’t say Trinity had a bad program. In fact, I kept my comments general and didn’t call out any program specifically, and to my knowledge, I haven’t ever really taken issue with Trinity in other threads. I am not sure why you are so defensive, then.

What I said was that if I am looking at an applicant with an engineering science degree (from anywhere), it is going to give me pause because, really, what does that even mean in a general sense? I’d have to go look up the details of said program and learn about it if I wanted to make an informed decision. Engineering science is a much more ambiguous term than, say, mechanical engineering. I know what I am getting from a mechanical engineering degree. It’s not always so obvious with engineering science.
