I have been accepted to the biomedical/electrical engineering program at Viterbi. Now I'm hearing that BME is not accredited at USC. Does anyone know whether this applies to my major, and why the BME department is not accredited?

USC is listed in many categories, but biomedical engineering is not a discipline listed for any school (look on their main page, its not there)
I think this is because biomed engineering is half engineering classes half biology and chemistry classes.

I have two friends that are biomed, and they say that it is a lot of work, but they are both smart cookies and really like the program too.

Hey thanks alot. Yeah, I looked on that site, there are very few programs that have their biomed accredited, and many of the top ranked programs do not...so ABET doesn't really matter then.
