abet accredited

<p>i am majoring in biomedical engineering and leaning towards a school but the biomedical engineering program is not abet accredited..</p>

<p>i am also considering another school but the BME program is ABET accredited....</p>

<p>does being an ABET accredited program make that much of a difference?
should i just go to the one that is ABET accredited so it will benefit me in the longrun?</p>

<p>If the school is not ABET accredited you will have difficulties getting a PE (not impossible though). In biomedical engineering the only time you will want a PE would be if you decide to go into consulting, else you wouldn't need it.</p>
