Able to combine two ACT's?

Hello, I was looking at Virginia Tech’s admissions page, and it says that they require writing. I had no problem with that until now, I’ve already taken the ACT, and just took the February ACT. The first ACT that I took included writing, the outcome wasn’t the best. I didn’t get the score that I wanted, but I got an 8 on the writing part. On my second ACT I got a composite score that I was happy with, but I didn’t take the writing part. Can I pick the writing score from my first ACT and take the composite score from my second ACT and put them together, and then send that to colleges? I know that VT looks at all the ACT’s that you have taken, but I’m just worried.

Thanks.

It looks like they do superscore. http://www.collegeadmissionspartners.com/college-testing/colleges-superscore-act/ I’m not sure if that means they’ll take the writing from one test with a composite from another. You’ll need to contact them to ask.

Superscore means they take the best of EACH section, just like SAT, so you will need to send both ACT scores to them .
