I’m partly with you in a philosophical sense, in that I don’t recall ever having used the term “stats” in a post before. However, academic effort and interest as expressed in grades represents an essential aspect of a college application, and standardized scoring results can help students better match themselves (with guidance from others) to colleges. As an opinion, the information itself is important, although how it is discussed could be improved.
