i'm reigstered for anthro 3ac and 16 units
it's a 4 unit class and my advisor said it's fine if i drop it since it's my first semester at cal
should I get the AC req done my first semester or is it fine if i get it done later (like soph / jr year)

also, since we have to clear out our dorms during summer break, how do we keep our stuff?
taking everything back home and moving back in with everything sounds just too inconvenient. does the school have some sort of a storage system?

There are self storage companies throughout berkeley. There is one that picks up your things for you, but i didnt choose that last year because i dont think i could trust ppl with my things, and who knows, they may throw around all your stuff. Me and my roomates for next year got a storage place. Its really cheap, its called golden bear storage, it think, buts its kinda far from campus, so access to a car is a must. We rented a uhaul and used my car.

The place that will do pickup/drop off for your stuff is pretty pricey. I just used UC Storage on Shattuck and one of my friends' dad helped me move my stuff there. Quite a lot of people do move all their stuff back home

Eh. The AC requirement isn't THAT hard to fulfill; there are a lot of courses that have AC. You might want to do it earlier on if you don't know your major for sure yet because A) get to explore an area you might possibly be interesting in and B) focus on major requirements during junior year. But you really could do it any time.
