im a senior and i havent heard back yet from the majority of my top schools, but i think i had decided that i was probably set on wanting to go to Lehigh.
i visited the school, loved it. i wanna do business, they have a great program. and i think i fit in well there.

im a supporter of their whole "work hard, party hard" custom. i think its great for good students who are willing to put in the time to their studying and also reward themeselves with a great social life. when i read some of these posts about this new Lehigh they are trying to create i was really shocked and kinda worried..

"Don't waste your $50K unless you want to go to school with book nerds who stay in their room studying all nigiht, because that is what Lehigh is turning this place into.
Glad I only have one year left to go. When you get your acceptance letter, just throw it in the trash.........unless they are paying your way."

thats a pretty strong opinion.. and it makes me want to question being set on Lehigh.. please post feedback

****, I just wrote a long answer to this post but it got deleted.
Truth is, Lehigh is a bigger party school than most. Yes, the Hill is definitely the dominant social activity on campus. If you're interested in Lehigh just to party, you shouldn't bother coming. Nobody wants you here. But if, like you said, you want a good education and excellent social life, you are welcome. You will feel immediately at home on campus, because nearly everyone will feel the same way.
By the way, registered parties suck. I only go to them if I'm already prefunked. When you get here, just bounce around the hill and try to find something (unregistered) that's going on. I am sure that when you arrive, the first night on the hill you will walk around with a huge group of people with no idea what to do. But you'll get the hang of it eventually, and you'll find a house you'll enjoy. You will be able to party all you want, just remember to study for those tests and do your work.

same i am dying to hear from them. i also feel that parties are ubiquitous at colleges, yet lehigh's party scene was kind of in your face about it. i am glad they are taking steps to quiet it (i fell it will help the university gain more prestige and look more serious for potential employment), yet i want my 4 years to be fun and filled with some of these infamous Lehigh parties!!!!

what are examples of these registered events? what is there to do besides these reqistered events and the parties on the hill?

Lehigh is trying to limit irresponsible partying - the kind that lands students in the hospital - while still allowing a vibrant social scene.

As at most colleges, students can choose to party, or choose not to. The one thing you cannot afford to do, as cclu points out, is to neglect your studies in favor of a good time. That was true years ago, and it's true now.

Those who loved Lehigh during their visit will still love Lehigh.
