About architecture program

Hi. I got accepted to UIUC and Syracuse (i applied both for architecture) and Im considering between those two schools. Which school has better architecture program?

I would think go for UIUC. I am also looking into architecture. Would you mind posting your stats, date applied, and date accepted into UIUC?

My SAT score was really low (Not even 1800). Since I am an international student, I decided to take toefl (did okay) and I also had good GPA..
Anyway, I submitted my apps. on dec. 19 through online and accepted on January. (not sure exact date) UIUC's arch program is 4 yrs and Syracuse's is 5 yrs. someone says 5yrs program is better than 4 yrs.. so I guess i will possibly end up at Syracuse, also Syraucse is in NY (im living in NY) but UIUC is more prestigious. It is really difficult to choose between them.

The UIUC program is very strong. The faculty really concentrates on the basics therefore the academic foundation is solid. The Versailles program is considered to be the #1 study abroad program for arch students. Sorry, I don't know much about Syracuse's program.

You will really need to investigate the specifics regarding differences in 4 and 5 year programs. Some 5 year programs will give you a BS and some will grant an MS.

Here's a link to one of the best discussions regarding arch schools.

Good luck.

I am screwed. Will a very low verbal score hurt me badly? I have a 4.0w GPA, top 10%, an architecture summer internship (paid), but I have a 700m and 490v... :(

Syracuse is very high up in the rankings though,,, while UIUC is not even in the top 10
