Please Help me choose a better option between Boston University Engineering undergrad and occidental 3-2 programme with Columbia Univ.
Search the forum for 3/2 programs. They sound good in theory, but have a lot of issues.
Unless you have a reason you want to spend 3 years not studying engineering then turn around and want to spend the next 2 years studying, I don’t know why you would want a 3/2 program.
I think those who want to major in Physics or Math then move to Engineering makes some sense but people who do these 3/2 programs do feel “behind” because they go to a brand new school, have to get used to the Engineering dept and students and take in all that they need to graduate as an Engineer in only 2 years.
The enticement is you will graduate from an Ivy league school but that entrance is not automatic. You would need to check what GPA you need to have in order to go to Columbia. You might have to go to one of the less popular choices if your GPA is too low so then why bother.
