About Conn's SAT numbers.

Given a choice, would you submit the SAT or ACT (or both) based on these results:
SAT: V: 650; Writing: 660; Math: 680 Total 1990 ACT: 30

maiby,

Conn's admissions website has some of the frankest advice you'll find anywhere regarding which scores to submit:

<a href="http://www.conncoll.edu/admissions/applying/testing/%5B/url%5D">http://www.conncoll.edu/admissions/applying/testing/</a></p>

According to the stats posted there, your ACT of 30 is well above the median for admitted students (median=28); an SAT of 1990 falls slightly below the median (2080). Therefore, go with the ACT. Good luck!

definitely ACT, without a doubt

Thanks for the advice. ACT it will be!! One more question.. I haven't taken the SAT IIs yet. Any need to send them to Conn College if they really only require the ACT?

maiby,

. . . and you probably know this, but the options are to submit the ACT OR two SAT II scores. C. C. applicants who submit their SAT Reasoning Test scores do so as a sort of optional supplement to strengthen their applications, not instead of the ACT.

BTW, the number of applicants who actually submit SAT Reasoning scores is relatively modest (52% in the most recent year) so don't let the Admissions website's reported median scores of this self-selecting group scare you off. Your ACTs are quite strong and your SAT scores fall comfortably within the 25th-75th percentile range for admitted students (1250-1390).

i got into CC with a 1990 but chose to go to trinity instead
