i got my schedule and i was put into psychology. but i wanna do pre-med and major in biology. is it ok to take psychology in my first semester of my freshman year? Do i need to change it to biology?

you need some sort of a social science for one year (or two I don’t remember) to graduate anyway, so it’s not going to kill you if you take Psychology this year, you could always take next year or if you have the money during the summer. But if you feel that you need to take Biology your first year do w/e you need to, it’s your call.

it is okay to take psych your first semester. lots of people do it. but the thing with being pre-med is that you want to hit the ground running. it’s fine if you’re taking psych, just as long as you’re taking a pre-med course to go along with it. you don’t want to be behind. so you should be taking either bio or chem your first semester.

Thank you. So what about psych? is it difficult? such as quizzes, experiments

depends on teacher, but for the most part, getting a good grade is pretty manageable, i’d say. actually, psych is supposed to be one of the easier courses at rutgers. the material itself isn’t very difficult, sooo yup. i had professor brill. 50 percent of the grade was homework and clicker points. the other 50 was comprised of three exam grades. getting a B or above was not too difficult in this class. just as long as you sort of pay attention during lecture and sort of read the book (which you need to do, to do the homeworks anyway). i’d recommend taking his class, but there are even easier professors than brill. just check out ratemyprofs.
