hello guys
i have applied to cuny as a transfar student. i have applied for 2 colleges: queens and queens borough community. the admission councelor told me that i will receive a letter in May. can you guys tell me how long will it take? or is there any chance that i will not get accepted in either of the colleges? please reply soon.

When I orginally applied as a transfer student I submitted my application in December but I only applied to two schools and got notification the 14th of April in which I did not get accepted to either of the schools; however I was given the opportunity to resubmit my application and update with two new school choices and I was told by the admissions office they will start giving notifications in May so most likely you should be hearing from them the 14th or 15th of this month.

I did reselect and put two new school choices, followed up with the admissions office and was told that a letter will be mailed out to me shortly regarding admission, the first time they sent me notification via email so I’m not sure if this is a good sign or bad sign.

I applied as a transfer student I attended university of Pittsburgh majored in microbiology, 85 total credits and 2.4 GPA, I first applied to hunter and city college and got rejected and reapplied to John Jay and Medgar Evers as they are close in range with that transfer student admissions profile, but we will see what happens.

Our records show that you submitted your General Transfer admission application for the Fall 2010 semester after the application postmark deadline of February 1, 2010. Your admission will be considered on space-available basis. Notification of admission decisions for students who applied after the deadline will begin in June.

If you have not done so already, you must send your application-processing fee and all of your required supporting documents by Friday, May 7, 2010 to guarantee the review of your application for the Fall semester.
If you have questions regarding your application, please email our Help Desk for Students at aonline@mail.cuny.edu.

Best of luck in the college admission process!

can someone please tell me exactly what this means? my documents and application are both complete.

do you think they will have enough seats for me?

That basically means you’re not guaranteed to get in and it will bebased on availability because you applied after the deadline. From what I was reading on the cuny website they had a lot of applicants and more still applying and people will be waitlisted, so it’s not guaranteed you are going to get in and you might have a better chance applying for spring semester.

After that email next day i call at cuny and they told me that colleges had taken your decision and you will recieve a letter next week. and they said to me to ignore that email.i dont no i should believe on that email or the person whom i talked.

Did you apply to four different schools? When I first got rejected I only put two school choices and they gave me the chance to resubmit with two new choices because you are allowed up to four. Did you call the admissions office and speak to them?
