About Early Decision...

I don't quite actually know this, but say I truly want to go to a certain college.

But anyway, is Early Decision a better option for say, some weaker students, or meant for the already academically strong students to be submitted first.

Or does it not really matter? Is it same chances compared to regular admission?

Early decision could make a difference if you are a borderline student as it is a good way to show interest in a college so if you truly want to go to a certain college and can afford it early decision is the way to go.

Do it if you know for sure that the college you're applying to is your first choice.

If you have a first choice, DO IT!

It will improve your chances a great deal to gain admissions, schools like Penn have already admitted this and Im sure its true for many other schools as well.

thanks for the info

i heard applying early is 100pts+ on ur SATs

It saves time, money, and stress, as well as giving you a better shot at the school. But, make sure that you can afford the school, or that you are highly likely to be given adequate financial aid by the school.
